Pension
If an APS participant or pensioner has passed away, their children are entitled to an orphan’s pension up to the age of 27. Between the ages of 18 and 27 the children should be in school and not married in order to receive an orphan’s pension.
The orphan’s pension is 14% of the deceased parent’s pension. If both parents are deceased (full-orphan) then it can be 28%.
Payment of the orphan’s pension
The orphan’s pension is paid each month. If a child is younger than 18, the orphan’s pension is paid to a parent or guardian. The payment can only be made to a local bank account or a Dutch ING Bank account.
